I'll explain it:
It's because he's a Rogue, and you're a Knight. Rogues skip mobs with invisibility, Knights just have to fight through them.

I first started with a Rogue, then soon found them underpowered and rolled a Knight. Starting with these classes teaches you diffrenet gameplay, so I was still prone to try and skip mobs in my way as a Knight, but was much less successful.

It's because I let people kill my Bounties for me =P
...no, really, I dunno. Maybe I did more quests, or never killed random things while in dungeons.
