Description:
The Heartland Rangers claim only the deep forests of the world as their home. These rangers hold no ties to the stone walls and brick buildings of the cities. While they may be found wondering amongst the trees and foliage you may occasionally see one within city walls. We always remain true to our forest home. The Heartland Rangers adhere to a strict code of honor.

Alliances:

Our clan makes no formal alliances. We will ally ourselves to any clan who respects the natural order of life. Clans that give respect to the wilds and innocent lives will recieve our aid when called upon. Until that time, we shall remain in the shadows of the forests stalking our enemies and striking in silence.

PvP?

We are strickly against random killing should that end up in EE. Our members are strickly held to RP in the clan except where OOC issues need be addressed.

Heartland Ranger Code of Honor:

A warrior of honor is the poet of justice and truth. They are the guardians of the weak. They are the defenders of the helpless. Money, Power, a warrior of honor seeks not these things. They salve their lives for those they serve. Every one dies, not every one truly can ever live, unless they understand and apply the truths of honor and duty. No one gains true respect by the murder and the pain of others. Those who seek valor will discover the poets of justice that lie within their noble hearts.
 

Traits: 

Heartland Rangers often refer to each other as brothers and sisters. It is common for a tribal leader to refer to all others in his tribe as his/her sons and daughters. This is often the case due to the undeterred devotion to his/her tribe, often seeing them as family, which he/she guides and protects.

Heartland Rangers are typically seen in public with weapons sheathed.

Heartland Rangers will never kill an unarmed foe.

They are often seen in battle on the front lines inspiring fear and determination towards their enemies fighting along side all races and classes even alongside the noble knight.

The forests are their home. They will do all it takes to defend their home.

Leadership:

The heartland Rangers has a hybrid-military structure. Orders are given by a hierarchy and are expected to be followed with little question.

The Council: Comprises the highest of rank. These are often referred to as the “Elders or Elder Council.”

Let me introduce myself...

I am Orias Swiftpaw. I am the leader of the Heartland Rangers. Are you interested in joining the clan? Do you have questions? Please feel free to post them in this thread.

We are currently hunting like mad to raise money for our charter.

I was asked by someone in game what I mean when I say Role Play and chat rules. Here is what we expect of our members...

-Clan chat is ok to go out from IC. It can be fairly difficult to chat in one's mind across the world. lol. 

-Members must remain IC while using the /SAY command.

-Members may speak OOC on all other chat channels.

-All actions should have an IC directive.

-All members must obey the SP rules for chat. This means no swearing in chat. I dont care what you do in tells as long as the other char. is not offended by your language. We DO have minors playing this game and in this clan. We will not hesitate to remove you for uncontrolled language.

-You will treat all characters with the respect they deserve. However, mind your tongue with respect should another person become disrespectful. That is why SP has given us the power of ignore. We are here to have fun and relax.

I like your system.. But, absolutely no PvP? Any war?

Also, Only Fangren and Foxen? Might ward off some people. Another thing, you only recruit rangers and druids. Problem: Rangers are Druids. Same thing. Might want some tankers there.

Yeah I kinda messed up. The clan is open to all classes. It is however an all canine clan. Just remember we aren't against PvP we are solely against random killing of the innocent. :)

EDIT: Keep in mind guys this is an in-game clan. I never fully understood the purpose of "out-of-game clans." heh. We are still raising money and falling just short of our goal to get registered. I estimate we will be registered within this next week. I will update this thread with a post as soon as it happens. :)

I wanted to also add something in. A little explaination as to why we are canine only...

It was our ancestors, the dog soldiers that broke the sacred covenant that led to the fall of time known as The Age of Legend. This was not the first time our kind was faced with hardship. Years before, Fangren and Foxen alike, joined under a single banner, fighting side by side to save the Foxen Border Hold. It was our ancestors that fell this day. Orias grew up in a Fangren pack. They lived deep in the forests far from civilization. So he has always held a special kinship with the canines. Yet, out of those same forests we have traveled. Going about our daily lives and learning the arts of combat from around the world. As we travel we will continue to meet new allies. Those who are true to our cause to save our forest homes will always be welcome at our side in battle. When the call is heard our blades will be at their defense regardless of race. Freedom is the right of all beasts. Our freedom is threatened by creatures such as the Anubians, another canine race which brings our kind to shame. So...to all our canine brothers and sisters, we are calling each of you. Join with us. Stand beside us in battle. We will fight once again under a new banner. United. Our enemies WILL fear the howl of The Heartland Rangers!

It looks interesting, and this definately shows creativity. Good luck and if you ever need help, the GFC mercenaries are there(for a reasonable price).

I suspect that tonight I will officially register the clan in game. I have been bashing like no other to raise the gold. Currently we have 2 members and a few others interested in joining once the charter is done. I will update this thread once it is all done. Does anyone have any questions about the clan that hasn't been answered?

UPDATE: I am working on a site for the clan. It will have help files for EE and a posting of the clan rules as well as forums should the clan grow large enough or the members find it needed. Give me about a week or so to finish up some technicalities on the site and it will be up and running.

An emblem would be great. I can place it on the clan site if you wish and it would be awesome to get the devs to let us design plaques for clan groves. Or maybe even some sort of cape or cloak. :)

Lets get together on a nice design for the clan. I would love to see something with Forest greens and browns. Something like a ranger fo the wilds would wear.
