Well, some of you probobly already think this is old news, but it's still a surprise for many I think.

Apparently, theres a new Mickey Mouse game thats being made for the Wii and it's gonna have Okami style game play.

The catch? It's darker and edgier and probobly will give younger players nightmares.

Seriously, the Heartless from Kingdom Hearts look like hippies in comparison to these crackpot sketches!

That's one of the scariest concepts for an Disney enemy (not even a main villain) I've seen.

For slightly less disturbing images, mechanical versions of Goofy and Donald that appear as friendly characters. Also Mickey's steambot get's a Steampunk-ish makeover.

So what's the games title? Well it's amptly named "Epic Mickey." It is scheduled to realese on September this year, and was announced during october of last year.

(Funny how I missed this. It's such a bizzare and a 50%/50% Fail/Win possibility I should have heard of it.)

Oh and apparently it will have some old classic Disney songs as background music. Played in reverse. That is not to say all of them will be, they are composing music for the games own soundtrack of course.

So, your first thoughts of this game? Or current ones if you heard of it back in October or so.

Personally, it's a really weird and interesting project. I can't say for sure would it be utter garbage or worthy of it's "Epic" title.

One thing is for sure...

That one concept art will be haunting me in my nightmares. O.o

I think its going to live up to its name, and also, the guy they got to do this said and I quote "I don't make games for kids" so that should say something about it.

Personally,  I like it, I'll more then likely be getting it once it is released.

Sounds awesome. Disney didn't begin as a "kids-only" brand, the old shorts and animated features were for adults as much as children. Hopefully this can bring those characters back to a mature audience. Then theres the fact that most adults nowadays grew up watching Disney cartoons, and are probably interested in something a bit more edgy. Good move on Disney's part.

Yeah, but theres the huge chance it will backfire, with the general public assuming things and all.

But I really would want to try this game out!

The worst screw up it can make would be a dark and edgy Okami clone with Disney branded characters though.

Wow! this has kinda got me interested a little bit.... I'm curious as to whether or not it does well and is actually good though I'll save my thoughts and opinions for when I can get a better assessment of the game overall.

Really?  Wow, this game is looking pretty cool.

I've never played Okami, but I doubt that's a problem. It never looked interesting to me..

Reading through all that, I'm thinkin' I'm going to be picking this up when it comes out.

I need an excuse to start playing my wii again.

Yeah, Spector is the guy I was quoting eariler, I just couldn't remember his name.

 This is one of the few games I've seen on Wii with nice graphics.

It will be in my possession when it's released.

Hope it will be lots of platform jumping.
